In the second match of the day, Durban Qalandars confronted Joburg Buffaloes that saw the former walking away with the bragging rights emphatically. Batting first, Tom Banton was the solitary silverlining for Joburg Buffaloes with the rest of the team coming extremely short that saw them post 94. Banton’s decent form continued as he hammered 55 from just 31 balls. Tendai Chatara was the pick of the lot with figures of 2/14 from his two overs.
Hazratullah Zazai almost single-handedly ran away with the match for Durban Qalandars with a well-powered 41 from just 25 balls that saw him smashing three fours and three sixes. Asif Ali powered to a 13-ball-23 as the Qalandars secured the desired total with five balls and seven wickets to spare.

Cape Town Samp Army found themselves on a roll as their batters made quick work of a modest total posted by the Braves. Tadiwanashe Marumani and Matthew Breetzke were the two architects of Samp Army’s second victory of the day as they scored 43 and 39 respectively. It was pretty much easy pickings for Samp Army once this duo got going as they secured a 8-wicket victory.
