It was another sizzling day in the US Masters T10 as it rained sixes in Florida. Yusuf Pathan was back at his majestic best, tormenting the bowlers in unprecedented fashion. But before the Indian hard-hitter could showcase the magic that he brings to the platter, it was Aaron Finch who set the stage ablaze with his own brand of brilliance. The Aussie opener’s 75 runs from just 31 deliveries had eight maximums in it.
With his team chasing 117, Pathan walked out. In his 11-ball-stay, he clobbered two fours and four gigantic maximums to help his team close to the finish line.
The second game did witness Robin Uthappa breaking from jail early in the innings, parking the bowlers out of the stadium while Sohail Khan’s clinical bowling saw him sneaking the cherry in through the defences of Dwayne Smith and Junaid Siddique which came in the wake of him removing Uthappa too.
It was a walk in the park for Kamran Akmal and Tillakaratne Dilshan as the duo added 63 runs from the first four overs. The most notable part of the innings for the Warriors came when they lost three wickets in three balls; Dilshan, Levi and Akmal with the first two going to Elias Sunny while the Pakistani wicket-keeper was found short of the crease when Uthappa dislodged the bails.
