Abu Dhabi is renowned for its architecture and vision. But over the years, it has also established itself as one of the safest cities in the world where people from all over the globe have come to settle in the country’s capital.

The city has also become the modern-day sporting capital of the world in recent years and the Abu Dhabi T10 has played its part.

A host of world cricket’s best names gather in this beautiful city every year to play in the Abu Dhabi T10, the world’s premiere tournament in the shortest format of the game, and entertain fans with some explosive cricketing action. The yearly visits also allow the players to take in the wonderous experiences Abu Dhabi has to offer and there’s plenty of it to go around.

Ben Cutting will be representing the Bangla Tigers in ADT10 2022. The Australian cricketer looked back fondly at his memories of the city and reiterated his love for exploring the beautiful sights around Abu Dhabi.

“I absolutely love it here (in Abu Dhabi),” Cutting said. “I have spent quite a bit of time here, a couple of times during the IPL and for the Abu Dhabi T10, that I have been to a few times.

“For me, it’s the culture. I love the people, I love getting out and seeing the sights.”

When asked about the food, “It’s absolutely amazing!” he said, flashing a smile.

English opener Alex Hales comes into the ADT10 after a T20 World Cup triumph with his national team. He has represented the Maratha Arabians twice in the ADT10, scoring 305 runs in 12 matches at a fantastic strike rate of 196.77. This tally also includes two half-centuries.

He returns for third outing in the Abu Dhabi T10 and will be representing the local team, Team Abu Dhabi. Hales, too, was in awe of the city and complemented its hospitality.

“To be a part of an exciting new format is one of the best things about coming to Abu Dhabi. It is a great place. Really really good food, great hotels and you get looked after so well,” said the English opener.

South African legend Lance Klusener is back again to take part in the ADT10 as a coach. Having previously worked with Bangla Tigers, Klusener joined newcomers Morrisville Samp Army as their head coach for the sixth edition.

While the team is enjoying a fantastic start to the tournament, Klusener is loving the shopping experience in Abu Dhabi.

“I enjoy the shopping and it’s always nice to get out here,” Klusener said about the city.

“Last year because of the COVID restrictions we couldn’t go out much. We look forward to getting out again in the coming days, the weather is pretty good so maybe hit the beach as well. There are lots of things to do here and I’m glad we’re past the COVID time and can enjoy the outdoors,” he added.
